Presam Construction and General Services, Inc.

Presam Construction and General Services, Inc. began as a single-proprietorship enterprise in 1984 under the leadership of AMBROSIO C. CRUZ, JR. A certified Public Accountant and former District Manager, his qualifications and past performance earned him the trust and confidence of the Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) and PCGSI became engaged in small repair and construction projects.

With the purchase and takeover of “Basic” and “Getty” Oil Companies by PSPC, and the requisite expansion of their Construction Program, Mr. Cruz initialized the incorporation of PCGSI with 100% Pilipino board members. Experienced engineers, as well as skilled workers were hired, and after fully manning its construction staff, ventures for bigger construction projects were launched not only with Pilipinas Shell, but also with other government projects like the Philippine Port Authority and the several other private enterprises, most notably the Manila Memorial Park, became part of their growing list of customers.

Aside from Civil Works projects, Presam Construction and General Services Inc. (PCGSI) was awarded the responsibility of maintaining several Areas for PSPC in 1996. PCGSI then mobilized competent personnel and equipment to set-up satellite bases within these Areas to better serve the dealers.

From our humble beginnings, with relatively few pieces of tools and equipment, we have steadily progressed in skill and ability. Today, our equipment yards in Cainta, Rizal and Sta. Rita, Bulacan stands testament to our capacity and capability to undertake infrastructure projects ranging from multi-storey buildings to huge road projects.

PCGSI has established a good rapport with our depository bank, the Bank of the Philippine Islands – Cainta, with which we have maintained our accounts since 1990. Among the bank’s facilities made available to our company is a Php 12.5 M straight loan line on stand-by which can be immediately utilized as required.

PCGSI has also been classified as a General Building (Category A) by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.
